Speak Out Your Words

Speak out your words; make known what is your view

Don’t wait until the time to speak has passed

Still unexpressed, your truth relies on you

Do not conceal what you believe is true

While time allows – the chance to speak won’t last

Speak out your words; make known what is your view

Words have diminished force when overdue

And echo faintly when the die is cast

Still unexpressed, your truth relies on you

And words require that action will ensue

Be faithful to the colours on your mast

Act on your words; live out your point of view

No action is performed with words in lieu

Mere words by proving deeds must be surpassed

Still unexpressed, your truth relies on you

And rare you are if you are of the few

Whose meagre words by actions are outclassed

Act on your words; make known what you can do

Still unexpressed, the future lies with you
